Why the native connector runs out of road

HubSpot includes a Salesforce connector and it handles the common path competently. It maps standard objects, it syncs on a schedule, and for a team running stock configurations on both sides it is often enough. I will tell you to use it when it fits.

It runs out of road in four predictable places. First, custom objects: if you model what you actually sell in a custom object on either side, the mapping gets thin fast. Second, deduplication: the connector matches on email, and if your Salesforce records came from a different source with a different email convention, you get two contacts for one person.
